2025 Winner: Big Springs Community Foundation

For the Western Sugar South region, the Big Springs Community Foundation is ACH Seeds’ 2025 Homegrown Giving winner. This organization helps preserve the town’s heritage through projects like restoring the Train Depot Museum and purchasing Veterans Day flags.

The funding will help the Big Springs Community Foundation complete the new park shelter in the center of town. Once installed, the Big Springs Community Foundation looks to implement other community enrichment events and programs like Art in the Park and a Veteran’s Day celebration, fostering connection and pride across the community. With these enhancements, the park will serve as a central hub for gatherings, celebrations and recreational opportunities for years to come.

Western Sugar South ACH Seeds Sales Manager Ryan Reuter presents the check to Ali Armstrong, Secretary of the Big Springs Community Fund.

Sugarbeets are at the heart of this 400-resident town in western Nebraska, with more than 2,500 acres grown in the surrounding area.

This organization helps preserve the town’s heritage through projects like restoring the Train Depot Museum, purchasing Veterans’ Day flags, and many community landscaping projects.

With the $10,000 donation from ACH Seeds, they will complete a new park shelter in town to hold community enrichment events and programs like Art in the Park, fostering connection in the community.
